The Gift of Respite Care: “Caring for the Caregiver”
How Our Donations Help Caregivers, and How to Apply
At the Alzheimer’s Research Association, we recognize that respite care services are often a lifeline for caregivers. We also know that, for many people across the country, these services are out of financial reach.
We believe that every caregiver needs some “me time” to decompress and recharge. After all, if you are run down and tired all the time, how can you be the best caregiver you can be, and ensure that your patient is getting the best possible care?
Each month, thanks to our supporters, ALZRA dedicates donated funds to help a caregiver in need of respite support. We call this program “Caring for the Caregiver.”
If you’d like to apply or nominate someone you know, please fill out the form and tell us a little about your situation and your needs. If you are selected, ALZRA will identify and pay a professional caregiver in your area for eighth hours of respite care.
Our “Caring for the Caregiver” is made possible through the generosity of our donors – it is the primary fund supported by donations we receive, along with contributions we make in support of Alzheimer’s research. We look forward to expanding the program as our organization grows.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself or the person you are nominating for our “Caring for the Caregiver.”[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]
